Looking for some quick embroidery projects that will either distract you from your chocolate cravings or make them So. Much. Worse!?

These embroidered felt treats are inspired by some rather iconic chocolates that live in a giant tin and are often a highlight of the festive season.

Each treat is between 5 and 8cm in size but you can resize the templates as you wish. They are an ideal project to make from your felt offcuts, a nice thing to do on the go and a satisfying quick (ish) make if you’ve a spare couple of hours. They can be used in so many ways, from festive decorations to pattern weights, jewellery and fridge magnets making them ideal stocking fillers and Secret Santa gifts. I reckon you’ll be stitching these felt sweeties all year round, they’re a real Quality Treat!

This 18 page Digital Download has all the instructions and templates you need to make your own sweet treats.  There are  4 pages of full colour photographic step by step instructions, 100% scale templates and a stitch guide with step by step illustrations. I like to think they are very detailed and easy to follow. I also hold live video tutorials on my Instagram every Friday evening.

The templates come set up for  both UK A4 and US Letter printers and there is also a set of SGV file included for cutting machines.

For extra help I will be running a Make-A-Long on Friday the 22nd of September

You are purchasing a digital file and will have to buy your materials separately (or use ones from your stash). You can buy all your felt and embroidery threads from the lovely Sarah at Cloud Craft - a beautiful small business that stocks an amazing array of 100% wool felt.

Click this link to be taken to her online shop! (this is an affiliate link which means I will get a small percentage of your purchase cost as a thank you from Sarah for recommending her store - at no cost to you!)

You are purchasing 1  instant download ZIP file. Nothing will be sent in the post. You will receive instant access to the ZIP File link on payment, click the link and it will be saved into your downloads folder. Inside the ZIP file you will find separate files with all the information you need.

1. The step by step instuction booklet with stitch guides

2. The templates for making this project

3. .SGV files for those of you with Cricut makers

4. The SEWYEAH SEWS Ebook - filled with lots f useful information

DON'T FORGET - This download link will expire after 30 days. Please download your file before then so you don't lose it. (though you can always email me if this is the case and I can resend the link)

The TEMPLATE PDF has been designed to be viewed or printed at 100% on both A4 and US LETTER sized paper and is monochrome to save on ink when printing. This project is designed to be a decoration and not a toy. As they are hand-sewn there may be small bits that could be pulled off by little fingers. Please keep out of reach of unaccompanied children and cats.

This pattern and instructions are the work of Christine Leech (Sewyeah!) and is for personal, non-commercial use. Please no mass production selling at craft fairs or in your own online store. Small batches for sale at charity events are allowed but please credit Sewyeah!  Reselling, sharing or redistribution of any of the file content is strictly prohibited.

  • This project is included in the Christmas Club 2023 membership. If you have purchased the membership you will have automatically been sent a download link in your Christmas Club newsletter or will be able to download it from the Sewyeah Grotto online.
