This beautifully embroidered angel (or fairy) is the perfect addition to your Christmas displays this year. Inspired by Gaia the Greek goddess of the Earth, her dress is decorated with sunflowers and Morning Glory flowers and her halo is scattered with gold leaves and delicate floral stems. She looks equally beautiful stitched in traditional festive colours or use a more natural palette if you plan on keeping her out all year round. Once made, your finished angel stands around 22 cm tall and 15 cm wide. She can perch on top of your Christmas tree or stand alone on a mantlepiece or bedside table.
 
This project is very special to me and I made her with all of my heart. I hope you find you have room in your heart (and sewing To Do list) to make an angel of your own. I wanted to create someone that while perfect on top of a tree at Christmas could also stay out all year round, looking over me and making me smile.  She is my Gaia Guardian.  I hope she brings you peace and love too.
