Starting to feel a little festive? Get organised and start making your Advent Calendar now!!

Each stocking is decorated on one side with a pretty embroidery pattern or motif and on the other there is a number 1-25. The plan is that at the beginning of December all the stockings are filled with a little treat (they are the perfect size for a fun size chocolate or small item such as lipstick, nail varnish, toy car, sewing thread etc) and hung with all numbers facing forward. Each day, find the relevant stocking, turn it round to reveal the design and enjoy the contents inside.

You could hang your stockings from a branch displayed in a pot like a small tree, pegged to a ribbon or why not have a go at making the wooden Christmas tree I have used. All the instructions for that are included here too. If you don’t have the patience to make all the stockings then they would also look lovely as tree decorations, or as an alternative to crackers on your Christmas table.

This 20-page download includes templates, instructions, a stitch guide and inspirational photographs to make a beautiful embroidered felt floral wreath.

Week 2 - 15th October - No show as I'mhaving a small break

Week 3 - 22nd October -  Focussing on numbers

These stockings are designed to be a decoration and not a toy. As they are hand-sewn there may be small bits that could be pulled off by little fingers. Please keep out of reach of unaccompanied children.
