HUXLEY THE HARE (First released March 2022)
Hello and hello from Huxley the hippy, happy, hoppy hare.
 
Make your very own Huxley The Hare this Spring with this 20 page download of step by step photographic instructions and templates. (Including  .sgv files for Cricut and other cutting machines.)  Huxley stands 19cm tall from tail to tip of his ears. He can be decorated in countless different ways to be truely unique to you, Make him from 100% wool felt for a beautiful long lasting character.   
 
I had so much fun designing Huxley - If you follow my Instagram stories you will have seen a lot of head scratching and refining of his shape, decoration and character. It’s ever so good for my brain to be making these calculations and I am super happy with the result.  I have designed the main body parts for this project so they can economically fit onto one piece of 20 x 30 cm felt.  Though he would also look amazing if he was made bigger as a soft toy or into something fun like a doorstop. 
 
This project is something a bit different for the Sewyeah Social Club monthly projects as we have never made a 3D character before. I really hope you get on well with the project and enjoy the process as I have a whole menagerie planned! 
 
Don’t be nervous if the project looks harder than previous projects, sewing 100% wool felt is incredible forgiving and you can make mistakes and unpick many times before the felt suffers (not that you’ll have to of course).

The PDF has been designed to be viewed or printed as A4. The template PDF is monochrome to save on ink when printing. This project is designed to be a decoration and not a toy. As they are hand-sewn there may be small bits that could be pulled off by little fingers. Please keep out of reach of unaccompanied children.
