Tune into my Instagram channel @sewyeah at 8pm on the 16th, 23rd, and 30th of April for a 90 minute tutorial focussing on different sections of the embroidery and banner. If you can't join in live, don't worry as the video will be saved to my IGTV so you can watch it at your leisure.
Week 1 - 16th April - Introduce the project and transferring the design
Week 2 - 23rd April - Embroidering the letters
Week 3 - 30th April - Constructing the banner
You are purchasing two digital files and will have to buy your materials separately (or use ones from your stash). You can buy all your felt and embroidery supplies from the lovely Nicole at Cloud Craft - a beautiful small business that stocks an amazing array of 100% wool felt.
Click this link to be taken to her online shop! (this is an affiliate link which means I will get a small percentage of your purchase cost as a thank you from Nicole for recommending her store - at no cost to you!)
You are purchasing 2 instant download files. Nothing will be sent in the post. You will receive instant access to the PDF file on payment, it will be saved into your downloads folder as a ZIP file.
Your 19 page PDF contains ...
Detailed photography of the finished sampler and banner
Written instructions and helpful hints to complement the video tutorials
Embroidery stitches guide
The second PDF included a selection of slogans and quotes for your banner. Also templates and an alphabet so you can make a personalised banner.
The PDF has been designed to be viewed or printed as A4. The template and instruction pages (4,6-10,12-19) are monochrome, in case you only want to print these particular pages to save on ink. (Actually, page 12-15 is half instruction and half images but you can still print it out in B&W!!)
This banner is designed to be a decoration and not a toy. As it is hand-sewn there may be small bits that could be pulled off by little fingers. Please keep out of reach of children.
This pattern and instructions are the work of Christine Leech (Sewyeah!) and is for personal, non-commercial use. Please no mass production selling at craft fairs or in your own online store. Reselling, sharing or redistribution of any of the file content is strictly prohibited.
