Create your own embossed metal ornaments with this fun hands on workshop. Using lightweight copper sheets and simple techniques you will create a set of Strawberry Thief inspired ornaments that can be strung individually or as a garland.

About the Event
About the Workshop: An enjoyable and relaxing workshop inspired by William Morris’ iconic Strawberry Thief design. Suitable for both craft enthusiasts and complete beginners, this session offers participants the opportunity to explore the beautiful flora and fauna motifs found within Morris’ designs while learning the relaxing and inspiring art of metal embossing.
Beginning with a simple introduction to the embossing tools, techniques and how to prepare the copper, participants will be able to create their own interpretations of this much-loved work using the templates provided. At the end of the workshop, finished pieces can be threaded on velvet ribbon or copper wire to create a set of individual hanging ornaments or a small garland.
All materials are provided. No previous experience is necessary.
