Playful Abstract Embroidery -LONDON

I am throwing open the doors to my studio so come and be inspired by me and my overflowing shelves full of threads and beads, sequins and transfers, fabrics and yarns to create your own unique piece of abstract hoop art.

I'll show you a selection of beading techniques and embroidery stitches, I'll explain how I plans my designs and share lots of tips on how I work. This class will be a joyful,  mindful afternoon suitable for those new to embroidery and also those more experienced but who want to experiment.

You will be working on a 5 inch hoop using a choice of upcycled fabrics. These techniques work brilliantly for visible mending and giving old clothes a new lease of life. If you have a sweatshirt, bag or jacket you would like to work on then do bring it along.

The workshop is 2.5 hours, there will be tea and cakes and all materials are provided plus a goody bag filled with treats so you can continue your embrodiery experiments at home. 

My Studio is a 5 minute walk from Ladywell Station, trains run frequently from Charing Cross (15 mins) London Bridge (10 mins) and Cannon Street. It's also directly opposite the 484 and P12 bus stop
